Meet Your Advisor
I’m Ben Geiger, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional (CFP®) and the founder of Simplified Planning and Investments. I started Simplified Planning out of a deep desire to make a real difference in people’s lives. For nearly a decade, I’ve had the privilege of guiding individuals and families through some of their most important financial decisions. Over time, I realized my greatest fulfillment comes from building meaningful relationships, truly understanding people’s stories, and helping them find peace of mind in areas that often cause stress and uncertainty. That passion led me to create a firm centered on people first—where financial planning is about more than money; it’s about impact, purpose, and simplicity.
Outside of work, my life revolves around family. I was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa—an avid Hawkeye fan turned Iowa State graduate. I met my wife at ISU, and we now live in the Des Moines area with our two daughters. We love traveling, spending evenings at the park with the kids (and Lambeau the dog), and cheering on our favorite teams.
I stay connected to my community through our church, volunteering, and teaching personal finance. I’m also a high school football official, a passionate sports fan, and one of those lawn guys.
